The RoboSail Open40 arrived in the port of Velas, Sao Jorge, Azores, after a difficult journey across the Atlantic Ocean. Skipper Pieter Adriaans reports: "It was a difficult trip, with some exceptionally heavy weather in the Bay of Biscay. Nevertheless, no irrepairable damage was done, so after a week of rest and repairs, I'm preparing myself and the ship for the voyage home". Indeed, it promises to be a good downwind stretch; ideal for this type of ship and rig. "I'm really looking forward to see what this radical rig-design can do in the circumstances it was created for", Adriaans says.
